Top hats solve two problems on every lighting plot: stray light landing where it should not, and a bare, glaring source visible from the house. This range is built for lighting designers, rental houses, and installers running Color Kinetics ColorBlast 6 fixtures who need tighter beam control without modifying the fixture or the rig.
Typical jobs include theatrical washes, corporate events, houses of worship, and architectural installs where audience comfort and clean sightlines matter. Because the part is purpose-built for the fixture, it replaces the gaffer tape and improvised flags that tend to shift mid-show with a clean, repeatable solution.
Offering both black and white lets you blend the hood into a dark stage environment or light-colored ceilings and scenery, so the accessory visually disappears. Compared with generic snoots or barn doors, a fixture-specific top hat delivers consistent results across a full inventory of units, which matters for rental stock, touring packages, and multi-fixture permanent installs where every unit has to look and perform alike.
