City Theatrical ColorForce 12 Half Top Hat | Black

Visible glare from a bare light source is a common complaint in theatrical, event, and installed lighting, especially when a fixture is mounted where viewers can look straight into it. A full top hat solves the glare but cuts into the beam on every side. This half top hat design is angled on one side, so it screens the source from viewers there while leaving the beam open on the opposite side, which helps when you need to control sightlines without losing coverage on the target.

It is aimed at lighting designers, production electricians, and integrators who run Color Kinetics ColorBlast 12 or Color Force fixtures and want a purpose-built accessory instead of field-made flags or tape. The part is made by City Theatrical specifically for these fixtures, so you are not improvising a fit on site. Having both light and dark finishes to choose from also lets a rig blend into the architecture or the set, whether the job is a touring package, a rental inventory, or a permanent install.
