Lighting designers, theatrical electricians, and installers working with Color Kinetics ColorForce 12 fixtures use this barndoor to control where the wash lands. Spill on a cyc edge, a set piece, or a projection screen flattens contrast and pulls focus from the stage picture. Setting the doors cuts that light off the surfaces that should stay dark, without gel scraps, flags, or extra stands in the rig.

It suits touring, theater, themed entertainment, architectural, and broadcast set work where LED color washes sit close to scenery and display surfaces. Because it seats in the accessory holders, you can add it only to the fixtures that need cutoff and leave the rest of the rig untouched. That keeps focus calls simple and the fixture profile clean.

Compared with improvised flags or tape, a purpose-made door gives crews a repeatable cutoff from show to show. Multiple finishes let it blend with the fixture, the set, or the architecture around it, so it reads as part of the rig rather than a field fix.
