City Theatrical C-Clip Truss Protector | 2" | Black

Aluminum truss tubing is soft, and a c-clamp tightened directly onto a chord leaves a deep dent that never comes out. For rental houses, production companies, theaters, and venues with permanent rigging, that damage shortens the working life of truss that costs far more than the hardware hung from it. These clips put a low-cost barrier between the fixture clamp and the tube, so crews can hang and tighten without worrying about marking the pipe.

Sizing is specific: the family is made for 2" diameter truss tubing, so confirm your chord size before ordering. Because the clips go on and come off easily, they suit one-off events, tour load-ins, and fast changeovers as well as fixed installs, and a worn clip is simple to replace instead of repairing a damaged chord. Keeping a supply in the rigging kit is a cheap way to protect a major equipment investment.

Two color options let you match the clips to the look of the rig, with identical protection either way. For lighting designers, riggers, and technical directors who specify truss care as part of a rider or shop standard, it is a simple accessory that pays for itself the first time a clamp would have left a mark.
