City Theatrical 1401 7 1/2" Beam Bender For Ellipsoidal Fixtures

City Theatrical's Beam Bender is built for lighting designers, electricians, and production teams who need a fixture's light to leave at a right angle to its body. In theatres and studios with low ceilings, it is most commonly hung close to the ceiling to bend beams downward, which gives lighting professionals vertical space that a fixture pointing straight down would otherwise take up.

Designers reach for it to shoot around obstructions and on dance sidelight booms, where the goal is to light the maximum of dancers' legs without lighting the floor. When trim height, sightlines, or grid position are already fixed, a dedicated beam bender gives you another way to place the light without rebuilding the plot.

The concept came from Lighting Designer Jules Fisher, and the first units were built for his New York production of A Christmas Carol.
