City Theatrical Safer Sidearm Original | 24" | 2 Sliding Tees

Lighting designers, electricians, and production crews who hang fixtures on vertical pipe know where simple sidearms fail: the clamp ends up carrying most of the stress. This family uses a braced arm geometry that gives theatrical, concert, studio, and corporate event rigs a sturdier way to position a luminaire off an upright pipe.

Modern fixtures weigh more than the units older sidearm designs were drawn around, which is why a load-rated option matters on a pipe grid. These sidearms are sized for that job, so a head electrician can spec a known working load instead of improvising with general-purpose hardware. Choosing between versions comes down to reach and layout, since the range offers shorter and longer pipe configurations with either one or two sliding tees.

For rental houses and installers who stock hardware in volume, a consistent design across the range keeps hangs predictable from one rig to the next. Heavier steel models in the wider City Theatrical line cover speakers and moving lights, so check the working load against your fixture weight before hanging.
