City Theatrical 211 1 1/2" Drilled Pipe Per Foot For Safer Sidearm

Sound Productions stocks this drilled pipe for crews that build and maintain City Theatrical Safer Sidearm assemblies. It suits rental shops, theatrical installers, and touring production teams that need additional or replacement pipe without ordering a complete sidearm. Spec it into shop builds, venue installs, and spare parts kits so a damaged vertical or arm can be replaced quickly.

Safer Sidearms rely on a diagonal brace that moves load off the clamp and onto the vertical pipe, so the pipe is a working part of the system rather than a commodity item. That load path is the reason the system is specified for heavier modern fixtures. Using stock drilled for the system means it arrives prepared for Safer Sidearm hardware instead of being modified in the shop.

Safe working loads vary by model across the line, from 50 lbs. to 200 lbs., so confirm the rating of the assembly you are building before hanging fixtures, speakers, or moving lights. Consult City Theatrical documentation for length limits, such as the three foot maximum arm noted for the steel Safer Sidearm.
