City Theatrical 2187 Drop-In Iris For Selecon Pacific Spotlights

A fixed focus ellipsoidal gives you a set beam, and an iris is how designers regain control of its size without touching the rig. For lighting designers, master electricians, and venue technicians, it tightens a pool of light onto a performer, a prop, or a set piece, then opens back up when the next cue calls for a wider look. The adjustment is a single handle, which keeps focus work simple on the ladder or lift.

This is a fit for theaters, touring productions, and rental shops where fixtures are shared across shows and changeover time is short. City Theatrical offers irises for several popular ellipsoidal families, so a shop can standardize on one accessory style across a mixed inventory. Each model is fixture specific, so confirm the match to your instruments before ordering.

Compared with hanging a different fixture or carrying extra instruments for every beam size, an iris is a practical way to get the look you need from the units already in your inventory, cue after cue.
