City Theatrical Gantom Top Hat | Gantom Precision Z

Fixture optics are not always ideal, and aging or poorly maintained lenses can throw light into the house or onto scenery where it does not belong. A top hat fitted at the lens puts a stop to that without changing the fixture. It also addresses glare. Audience members and camera operators object to seeing a bare, bright lens, and a top hat narrows the viewing angle into it. In repertory plots and tight hanging positions, controlling the lens exit is a practical step toward cleaner stage pictures.

This family is offered in versions for several Gantom fixture models, so a rig with mixed units can be outfitted with one consistent accessory. Lighting designers, production electricians, and venue technicians in theaters, television studios, and corporate staging will use them to tighten a plot, protect sightlines, and keep unwanted light off set pieces.

Confirm the fixture model against your plot before ordering, since each version is made for a specific Gantom fixture. Lighting departments standardizing on one accessory source can specify an entire rig at once.
