Color frames are the small hardware that keeps a lighting design intact from focus call to closing night. This City Theatrical frame is sized for the SL5° position, so rental shops, theaters, and touring lighting departments can stock one purpose-built piece instead of improvising with a frame meant for a different lens tube.

City Theatrical builds frames for a wide range of entertainment fixtures, from ellipsoidals and PARs to cyc units and media holders, and will fabricate custom versions for antique and obsolete fixtures on request. That depth matters to production electricians who want consistent hardware across a mixed inventory and a single source for hard-to-find sizes.

Compared with generic or bent-up substitutes, a purpose-made frame helps keep gel or other color media square in the beam path, and spare frames make it easier to pre-cut and pre-load color between shows. Specify it when you are outfitting new fixtures, replacing lost or damaged frames, or building out spares for a repertory or road package.
