City Theatrical 2385 100mm Mainframe Disposable Fiber Color Frame

City Theatrical Mainframes are built for lighting departments that go through a lot of color on every show. Rather than buying, tracking, and hauling reusable frames for an entire plot, crews can outfit a production with frames that cost very little and add almost no weight to the color rack. That suits theatrical productions, short-run events, and any load-in where color changes happen fast and the frames are not coming home with the gear.

Match the frame to the fixture before you order. This 100mm size is one part of a range that runs from small Inkie and mini strip formats up to 245mm, so a designer can keep a whole rig on a single frame system. Performance is best in hard edge ellipsoidals like Source Four. The fiber will not burn, but some hot wash lights can dry it out and crack it, so avoid specifying it for those fixtures.

Mainframes are lavender, and City Theatrical cannot guarantee the exact frame color supplied, so treat it as a working consumable. Keep spares in the shop kit for re-gels, focus changes, and tech week swaps.
