City Theatrical 2389 150mm Mainframe Disposable Fiber Color Frame

City Theatrical Mainframes are made for lighting designers, electricians, and production teams that burn through large quantities of color frames and need them light and affordable. This 150mm size belongs to a range that runs from small strip and Inkie formats up to 245mm, so one source can cover most fixture types on a plot. Dimensions are listed in the specs so you can verify fit against your fixture's color slot.

Because the frames are disposable, they suit touring, one-night events, short-run theatre, and rental work where reclaiming frames after strike is a hassle you can skip. The fiber will not burn. Best results come from hard edge ellipsoidals such as the Source Four. Some hot wash lights can dry the fiber and cause it to crack, so match the frame to the fixture before committing to a long run.

Compared with reusable frame options, Mainframes lower the cost of outfitting an entire plot and reduce the weight of the color package that travels with a show. Frames ship lavender, and City Theatrical cannot guarantee the exact shade provided.
