City Theatrical 2400 6" Ellipsoidal Top Hat For Spill Control

Lighting designers, electricians, and production crews reach for a top hat when a fixture throws light where it should not go. Marginal optics or lenses that have seen too many tours can push stray output into the audience or onto scenery, and a top hat is a fast, low-cost fix that needs no refocus of the rig or change of fixture. It also addresses a sightline problem. Patrons and cameras often object to seeing the bright source itself, and extending the barrel of the fixture shields that view without altering the beam shaping.

Sized for ellipsoidal fixtures, this City Theatrical top hat suits theatre, concert, corporate, house of worship, and broadcast work where clean stage pictures and camera-friendly backgrounds matter. It gives a designer a way to tighten up a rig during tech without touching the fixture optics, and it gives a rental house an accessory that is easy to stock and swap. Finish choices and custom parts are available, so one supplier can cover standard plots and special requests.

Match the accessory to the lens tube before ordering. Light loss is expected with the widest tube angles, so confirm the fixture's lens configuration first.
