City Theatrical 2444 185mm Half Top Hat For Lighting Fixtures

Built for lighting designers, production electricians, and theater technicians who need a clean look from the house. A full top hat hides the bright source of a fixture, but the inside of the hood glows and pulls the eye. A half top hat fixes that. Rotated with its full side toward the viewer, the lit interior disappears and the fixture can no longer be seen.

This 185mm size fits theatrical rigs, touring productions, concert stages, and installed performance venues where fixtures sit in the audience's sight lines and visual distraction is a problem. City Theatrical Standard Half Top Hats are favored by professional designers because they can deliver better performance than full top hats while keeping the look of the rig tidy.

Verify fit before ordering. City Theatrical advises against accessories that are 5 inches long in 50 degree lens tubes, and against any accessory in 70 or 90 degree lens tubes, because light loss will occur. A white inside and outside version is available by adding a W to the catalog number. A white outside, black flocked inside version is also offered, with pricing by phone.
