City Theatrical 2450 Standard Top Hat For Source Four Fixtures

Lighting designers, master electricians, and production crews reach for top hats to solve two recurring rig problems: light landing where it should not, and a bright source visible from the house or a camera position. When fixture optics are imperfect or lenses are not well maintained, stray output can reach the audience or wash scenery. Fitting an accessory at the lens end gives crews a straightforward way to tighten that spill and cut visible glare during theater, concert, corporate, and broadcast work.

This City Theatrical model is made for the Source Four, Strand SL, Shakespeare, and Pacific family, and the manufacturer notes it also works with S4 PARNel, S4 Zoom, and S4 14-degree fixtures. In rooms where audiences or cameras sit close to the stage, a purpose-built accessory from a theatrical lighting specialist keeps results predictable and consistent across a rig.

Match the accessory to the lens tube before you hang. Longer accessories are not recommended in wide lens tubes because light is lost, and the manufacturer advises against any accessory in the widest tubes where the loss is extreme.
