City Theatrical 2489 185mm Barndoor For Wash Light Beam Shaping

Wash fixtures throw a soft beam with a wide spread and no defined edge, so light often lands on scenery, backdrops, or stage areas where it does not belong. That matters most on shallow stages and cyc-lit looks where stray light flattens the picture. A barndoor gives lighting designers, electricians, and production teams a direct way to trim that spill at the fixture instead of reworking the plot or adding flags.

City Theatrical barndoors are made for wash lights such as Source Four PARs, LED wash fixtures, and fresnels, where shutters are the practical way to define the edges of a broad beam. Theaters, touring productions, and event crews can use them to clean up cuts along a cyc, proscenium, or set piece during focus calls. Compared with taped-on cards or cut flags, a purpose-built barndoor gives repeatable results from fixture to fixture and stays serviceable as it ages.

Confirm the accessory fit against your fixture's frame and holder before ordering, since barndoors are sized per fixture model and this one is built around a 185mm outer dimension. Match it to the fixture you plan to use, then check the full dimension set in the specs.
