- Blocks Wandering Light Off Scenery And Truss Neighbors
- Short Body Clears Adjacent Units In Tightly Hung Rigs
- Svoboda-Like Styling For Fixtures Exposed To The Audience
- Hemmed Steel Edges Make Handling Safer During Load-In And Focus
Lighting designers and production electricians reach for this accessory when a fixture needs tighter control but the rig has no room for a deep hood. It suits moving lights hung close together on trusses, overhead positions with limited clearance, and any location where neighboring fixtures or scenery cannot tolerate wandering light.
Where a conventional barrel-style hood adds length that can collide with adjacent units or complicate focusing, the concentric ring design delivers similar shielding in a much shorter envelope. That makes it practical for theatrical, concert, corporate, and touring plots where every inch between fixtures counts, and it saves the labor of rearranging positions to fit larger accessories.
The ring-within-ring look also reads as intentional when fixtures are exposed to the audience, which helps in productions that treat the lighting rig as part of the scenic design. Part of a sized City Theatrical range, this 185mm version should be matched to the fixture it will be mounted on before ordering, since the family covers PAR and moving light models of different diameters.
