Color frames hold gel or media in front of a fixture, and fit matters more than most people expect. This frame is cut for round S4 PAR units, which makes it a practical pick for production electricians stocking a rental shop, designers refreshing a plot, and integrators outfitting architectural spaces where round PAR fixtures are specified.

It also works with S4 PARNel, 14" Zoom, S4 14", and ETC D-40 fixtures, so one frame style can cover several units in a mixed inventory. It belongs to a larger City Theatrical range spanning ellipsoidals, PARs, cyc lights, and compact LED fixtures, which lets crews standardize on a single source for color frames across an entire rig. Compared with generic or improvised holders, a purpose-sized frame avoids the fitting problems that slow load-in and focus calls.

Stock a few extras alongside spare gel so color changes between shows or fixture swaps never wait on hardware.
