City Theatrical 2568 S4 Fresnel 8 Leaf Barndoor For Beam Control

Fresnel and wash fixtures throw a soft beam with no defined edge, and that spread tends to land on scenery, drops, and stage areas that should stay dark. This barndoor lets lighting designers, master electricians, and house crews trim the beam at the fixture instead of adding flags or reworking the plot.

It fits theatrical, corporate, and touring productions where fresnels light actors, cycloramas, or set pieces and every fixture needs to be controlled. Crews can cut glare toward sightlines, separate adjacent color washes, and keep light off masking and backdrops during focus calls. Because the leaves are adjustable, designers can refine the cutoff after the unit is hung and revisit it as the show changes.

Sized specifically for the S4 Fresnel, it gives full-size fresnels a barndoor matched to the fixture, which keeps hang and focus predictable. Compared with small-format barndoors made for mini profiles and compact LED units, the larger frame handles the broader spread of a full-size fresnel. For rental inventories and house stock, a dedicated part number also makes it simple to order replacements to match existing fixtures.
