City Theatrical 2574 S4 Mini Black Barndoor Beam Shaping Accessory

Built for lighting designers, electricians, and production teams who need clean control over a soft-edged wash. Wash fixtures throw a wide beam with no defined edge, and that light often lands on scenery, backdrops, or stage areas that should stay dark. This barndoor lets crews trim the beam at the fixture instead of reworking the plot.

In theatrical, touring, and installed rigs, it handles routine focus calls quickly. Leaves can be set during a focus session to sharpen the look of a cyc, hide a bounce off a wall, or keep light off a proscenium. Compared with improvised flags or gaffer tape, a purpose-built shutter is cleaner and easier to readjust between looks.

Whether you are tuning a repertory plot, a corporate event, or a touring package, controlling stray light improves contrast on stage and keeps attention on the talent. It is the right pick when a rig includes S4 Mini fixtures and you want a compact, purpose-built accessory rather than a universal flag. The small frame suits tight positions where oversized barndoors are impractical, and it is a sensible spare for rental houses stocking a fleet.
