City Theatrical 2650 Top Hat For VL2000 And VL2500 Fixtures

A top hat is one of the first tools a lighting designer reaches for when a moving light throws unwanted light into the house, onto scenery, or into a camera shot. This City Theatrical accessory is made for VL2000 and VL2500 fixtures, so production electricians get a purpose-built solution instead of improvised flags and tape.

It fits theatre, touring, concert, corporate, and broadcast work where tighter edges and cleaner contrast matter. Cutting light at the fixture keeps audience sightlines comfortable and keeps stray backlight from washing out screens, cycs, and set pieces. Electricians and designers also get a clean way to tune a look during focus. Because it is built for a specific fixture family rather than as a generic snoot, crews can specify it on a plot with confidence and apply it consistently across a rig.

For rental houses and venues already running Vari-Lite fixtures, it is a practical stock item. City Theatrical also lists a wide version for the same fixtures plus matching accessories for other VARI-LITE models, which lets shops standardize beam control from a single manufacturer across a mixed inventory.
