City Theatrical 2746 Top Hat For Martin RUSH PAR 2 Zoom

Lighting designers, production electricians, and venue technicians use top hats to tighten up a rig when fixture optics push light where it does not belong. On a Martin RUSH PAR 2 Zoom, this accessory helps keep output off house seating, proscenium edges, and set pieces that should stay dark. That saves time at focus calls and reduces the need for extra flags or cutters hung nearby.

It also solves a sightline problem. Audience members and broadcast or video cameras often find a bare lamp source distracting, and a top hat shades that glare without changing the fixture position. That makes it practical for theatre, corporate stages, houses of worship, television studios, and touring productions where fixtures sit close to viewing angles.

City Theatrical top hats are a cleaner, more repeatable alternative to improvised gaffer tape or homemade snoots, and they give a rental house or install crew a consistent part to spec and stock. Ordering options matter for some designs: a white version with no interior flocking is available by adding a W to the catalog number, and custom parts and finishes can be quoted by phone.
