City Theatrical 2780 Top Hat Beam Control For Martin MAC TW1

Lighting designers, electricians, and production teams running Martin MAC TW1 fixtures use a top hat to trim stray light at the beam edge before it reaches audience eyes, a cyc, or set pieces. It is a fast way to clean up a focus without gelling, flagging, or rigging separate cutters, and it stays with the fixture through load-in, show, and strike. Compared with improvised cardboard or tape flags, a purpose-made hood gives repeatable results from fixture to fixture.

City Theatrical builds this accessory in its New Jersey factory as part of a beam control catalog covering 18 Martin fixtures, so a rig with mixed Martin models can often be outfitted from one source. For the TW1, the line also includes a color frame and a louver, which lets a shop stock a consistent set of accessories across theatrical, concert, and corporate productions.

Custom beam control is also available from City Theatrical for owners of Martin fixtures whose venues or designs call for something outside the standard catalog, which makes it a practical partner for rental houses and installers.
