City Theatrical 4200 Broadway Music Stand Light With Hexcel Louver

Pit musicians who play on stage often sit above the audience's eye level, where a standard clip-on stand lamp becomes a visible distraction. This fixture is built for that situation, giving players enough illumination to read a score while the house stays focused on the performance.

For production managers, music directors, and lighting designers, it solves a recurring problem on touring and resident productions: keeping band lighting subtle without sacrificing readability. The louver directs output down onto the page, so the stand light reads as part of the stage picture rather than a stray hot spot. It is a practical fit for Broadway-style musicals, on-stage orchestras, and any production where musicians are visible as part of the set.

Compared with generic stand lights, it addresses sightline spill directly. Because the lamp is sold separately, crews can stock the T-10 bulb that suits their show, within the fixture's wattage limit. Add it to a touring or rental inventory list alongside other band and pit accessories so every venue gets the same controlled look from the first load-in.
