The City Theatrical Boom Base is a purpose-built foundation for positioning a single lighting fixture where a hanging position is not practical. For lighting designers, electricians, and production teams, it offers a clean, repeatable way to put a unit on the deck or on a table for theatrical, event, and live production setups that call for a low or ground-level source.
Makeshift stands and improvised weights tend to look sloppy and shift during a show. This base is stable and finished to stay out of the way visually, which matters when it sits in view of an audience or camera. Mounting hardware is covered, so crews are not hunting for the right bolt during load-in. It suits rental inventories, touring packages, and permanent theater installs where a dependable mount is a routine need.
Choose it when the job is simple: one fixture, one stable footing, and no need for clamps, truss, or overhead rigging points. That simplicity keeps setup predictable from venue to venue, whether the base lands on a stage deck, a set piece table, or a corner of the room. It becomes a dependable part of the kit for crews who set looks quickly and strike just as fast.
