The City Theatrical Cyc Base is for lighting designers, rental shops, and production electricians who need an ETC cyc fixture to work somewhere other than a pipe. Set it down at the foot of a backdrop, on a riser edge, or on a tabletop at a trade show booth, and the fixture is ready to aim without rigging hardware or a clamp.

For touring and corporate production, it solves the daily problem of getting a wash onto a cyc, scrim, or set piece when overhead positions are taken or unavailable. Crews can drop a fixture into position during load-in, relocate it between scenes or shows, and strike it just as fast. The only setup condition is leaving the yoke at its standard longest length.

Compared with improvised solutions such as sandbags, apple boxes, or gaffer-taped brackets, a purpose-built base gives you a clean look on stage and a consistent presentation from venue to venue. It suits theater, television studios, houses of worship, and live events where a dedicated floor position for cyc lighting is a regular part of the plot.
