Built for lighting designers, electricians, and production teams who need to dim constant voltage loads on scenery, set pieces, and architectural details where running a data home run is impractical. The 5942 accepts control over City Theatrical's Multiverse or SHoW DMX Neo wireless links as well as conventional wired DMX, so it fits touring rigs, theatrical builds, themed installs, and corporate stages without forcing a single control path.

The dimming engine is aimed at fine low level control. Six DMX personalities cover single color and tunable white fixtures at standard or high resolution, which keeps fades smooth when a scene lives near black. Setup happens over RDM with a tool like the DMXcat, or through the free USB Configurator for PC and Mac, so changes can be made on site without opening the unit.

This dimmer is designed and built in the USA by City Theatrical, keeps power consumption low in both wireless and wired modes, and mounts to scenery with the supplied bracket. On this model the radio band is user selectable. Note that the 900MHz band is licensed for North America only.
