City Theatrical 90 Vertical Extension Tube Adapter For Split Couplers

Built for lighting designers, production electricians, and rental shop crews who need fixtures to sit at different heights on the same pipe. When the batten or truss dictates where a hang point lands, a vertical extension tube lets the fixture drop below it. That gives you sculpted pipe ends, and it lines up the lenses of moving lights and conventional units along the pipe.

This adapter is the piece that brings split couplers into the City Theatrical VET system. For crews already hanging with half couplers, this part lets them accept VETs, which are offered in 6, 12, and 24 inch lengths. One shop inventory can then cover a range of drop distances across theater, concerts, corporate events, and installed rigs.

Compared with improvised drops or custom brackets, a purpose-built adapter keeps the connection consistent from fixture to fixture, which matters when a plot calls for matching heights across a full pipe. It is a small part that solves a specific rigging problem cleanly. Specify it alongside your VET lengths so the order arrives complete.
