The Clear-Com CZ-MB340ES is the base station component for the DX340ES digital wireless intercom system, designed for production teams, broadcast crews, and live event engineers who need reliable, hands-free two-way communication without frequency licensing requirements. It supports up to four full-duplex or fifteen half-duplex beltpack and all-in-one headset users per unit, and pairs with a second base to scale to a maximum of thirty users across a single system.
Built for demanding RF environments, the MB340ES uses triple diversity operation combining space, time, and frequency diversity to maintain link stability in multi-path settings like arena floors, broadcast trucks, and busy stage environments. Its 10-pin terminal strip connector provides straightforward integration with existing 4-wire intercom infrastructure, and the dual-channel design allows independent program or party-line routing. Improved RF filtering over the prior DX300ES generation reduces interference susceptibility in congested spectrum.
Flexible power options including 100-240V AC, 12-14V DC, six AA batteries, or the optional BAT850 rechargeable pack make the MB340ES equally at home in a rack, on a table, or deployed remotely in locations without mains power. Its compact footprint and quick setup process keep it practical for touring and temporary installs where deployment speed matters.
