Capture your sound, your way with the A2466 from ClearSonic. This drum shield will reflect mid-to-high sound frequencies (snare drum, cymbals, guitar, horns, etc.) and diffuse them so that your audience’s ears won’t get overwhelmed. Use this drum shield as a gobo in any studio, on stage, or at your worship service to cut down on microphone bleed and achieve a cleaner overall mix. Alternatively, use these to add panels to your existing A2466 drum shield, or use AS48 stabilizers to allow them to free-stand in a straight line.
Each panel is made of the highest quality ¼” thick acrylic material and features smooth finished edges, ClearSonic’s proprietary ‘tooth in groove’ mechanical locking hinge system to ensure secure and long-lasting panel connection, and cable cut-outs to easily organize cables running to your gear. Best of all, ClearSonic panels are modular, so you can extend the height by 12” or 18” with the AX Drum Shield Height Extenders, expand the width by adding additional panels, and add Sorber sound absorption baffles to build out a complete isolation booth or anywhere in between.
Used with most of Clearsonic IsoPac Isolation Booths and GoboPac 50 and GoboPac 70.
NOTE: To be fully effective, ClearSonic panels should be used in conjunction with SORBER baffles. ClearSonic products are modular, so the A5 can easily be made larger, or even turned into an IsoPac.
- Acrylic Drum Shield Features
- Routered edges – provide clean and smooth edge that won’t cut your hands.
- ¼” thick acrylic material – provides durability for transporting panels. Creates acoustic separation between instruments on stage or in the studio to cut down on mic bleeding and allows everyone to hear themselves and the mix better. Adds stability that allows for modular set up to support acrylic height extenders and Sorber baffles on top, such as a LidPac, and attachment of Sorber panels, such as the S2224, directly to the acrylic panels with adhesive-backed Velcro.
- Cable cut-outs – allows space where each panel meets at the bottom for routing/organizing cables for microphones or any wired gear. Also allows less sound to escape compared to mouse hole cutouts.
- Hinge Features
- Full-length – our hinges run the full length of each acrylic panel. This extra coverage provides superior sound isolation compared to competitors whose hinges leave exposed seams between panels for sound to escape.
- Tooth in groove mechanical lock – the hinge tooth locks into the groove cut into each acrylic panel for superior connection and longer life, especially compared to Friction hinge.
- Low profile – allows for better aesthetics as hinge blends into the shield better.
- Flexibility – hinge bends 180 degrees in one direction and 90 degrees in the other allowing for accordion style folding. This makes it easier to ship, store, and transport, and allows for a more customized shield footprint.

- A2466x1: 24”-wide x 66”-high, 1-section Add-On w/Hinge (old A5-1). Commonly used as an ‘add-on’ to increase the width of an existing A2466 system by 24 inches. Great for isolating drums, cymbals and other instruments mounted higher than 48 inches.
- A2466x2: 48”-wide x 66”-high, 2-section Add-On w/Hinge (old A5-2). Commonly used as an ‘add-on’ to increase the width of an existing A2466 system by 48 inches or as a smaller stand-alone system.
- A2466x3: 72”-wide x 66”-high, 3-section CSP (old A5-3). Can be used as an ‘add-on’ to increase the width of an existing A2466 system by 72 inches or as a small stand-alone system.
- A2466x4: 96”-wide x 66”-high, 4-section CSP (old A5-4). Normally used as a small stand-alone system, it provides about 140 degrees of coverage around a 5-piece drum kit.
- A2466x5: 120”-wide x 66”-high, 5-section CSP (old A5-5). One of Clearsonic's best-selling systems and provides about 160 degrees of coverage around a 5-piece drum kit.
- A2466x6: 144”-wide x 66”-high, 6-section CSP (old A5-6). Another best-seller that provides about 180 degrees of coverage around a 5-piece drum kit.
- A2466x7: 168”-wide x 66”-high 7-section CSP (old A5-7). Clearsonic's largest pre-assembled system provides about 200 degrees of coverage around a 5-piece drum kit. 12-inch and 18-inch AX Height Extenders are available if more height is desired.
