System designers specifying distributed audio for cafés, airports, shopping centers, houses of worship, or theater delay fills will find the V2-8W an efficient solution for its enclosure footprint. The trapezoidal 18mm birch cabinet allows tight cluster or array configurations, and the user-rotatable constant-directivity square horn lets installers dial in 90° horizontal by 70° vertical coverage without changing hardware. Nine M6 threaded rigging points and an included yoke bracket with selectable 10° and 20° standoffs give integrators multiple positioning options out of the box, including wall surface, ceiling surface, underbalcony, and overbalcony deployment.
The Carbon Ring Cone Technology in the LF driver increases effective piston area and excursion capability beyond what a conventional 8-inch cone delivers, supporting output levels that punch above the cabinet's size class. Ferrofluid treatment in the HF driver manages thermal load during sustained high-level operation, while Dyna-Tech protection circuitry guards against clipping and overdrive events common in unattended installed systems. For venues requiring distributed 70V or 100V architecture, the separately available autoformer variant handles those applications without an external transformer.
The V2-8W pairs with Community or Voltera amplified loudspeaker controllers for optimized signal processing and long-term reliability in permanent installations. Supplementary hardware including ceiling mount kits, tilting brackets, and eyebolt kits are available as optional accessories to meet project-specific rigging requirements.
