The Community R.35COAX is engineered for system designers who need a compact, high-output point-source loudspeaker that transitions cleanly between distributed and direct-drive applications. Its integrated 200-watt autoformer supports selectable 8-ohm, 70V, and 100V operation, making it equally suited for installed audio environments — houses of worship, corporate AV, outdoor venues — and portable touring rigs where a single cabinet must adapt to available amplification infrastructure.
The coaxial driver arrangement pairs a carbon ring cone LF driver with a 1.25-inch exit HF compression driver featuring Biamp's Tru-Phase phase plug technology. This configuration minimizes phase discontinuities at the crossover point, delivering the intelligibility and imaging consistency that installed audio integrators and live production engineers depend on across wide listening areas. The 90° x 90° symmetrical coverage pattern simplifies array planning and reduces overlap in distributed setups.
Where comparable portable passives compromise durability for weight, the R.35COAX uses a high-impact ABS modified-trapezoidal enclosure rated IP55W per IEC 60529 and designed to MIL-STD-810G, with a hydrophobically-treated grille, moisture-sealed crossover, and corrosion-resistant powder-coated steel yoke. The paintable matte finish integrates cleanly into architectural installs. Community's Voltera or Amplified Loudspeaker Controllers are recommended to complete the signal chain.
