The Countryman B3 is a professional omnidirectional lavalier built for sound engineers, production mixers, and broadcast technicians who need consistent, transparent audio capture in demanding environments. The field-selectable protective caps allow engineers to tune the high-frequency response on the fly to match the acoustic environment or blend with other microphones in a multi-mic setup, an advantage that fixed-response alternatives cannot offer. The B3 is constructed around an aramid-reinforced cable core that resists stretching during daily rigging and removal, and protective caps rated to handle water, sweat, and makeup exposure without degrading audio performance. Its ultra-thin diaphragm and cable construction combine to produce an exceptionally low handling noise floor, which is critical for drama miking where physical contact with clothing or hair is unavoidable.
