Countryman B6 Protective Cap | Bright (+dB @ 15kHz) | Black

Designed specifically for the Countryman B6 lavalier, these protective caps are an essential maintenance and performance accessory for sound engineers working in theatre, broadcast, houses of worship, corporate AV, and live production. Each cap physically shields the mic element from dirt and dust accumulation, making the B6 extremely water-resistant during extended wear. For engineers who need to manage sweat, outdoor conditions, or long performance runs, the caps provide a practical layer of protection that extends the life of the microphone and maintains consistent signal quality.

Beyond protection, these caps serve as a tuning tool. Flat caps preserve the B6's native frequency response without alteration, making them ideal for situations where the source sounds correct through the chain. Bright and Very Bright caps introduce additional high-frequency presence to improve sibilance and voice intelligibility, which benefits applications where a talent's voice needs to cut through a dense mix or where a system's high-frequency response rolls off. This gives the engineer an on-mic option to adjust presence before touching EQ.

The caps are available in five colors to match common skin tones and wardrobe, minimizing visual presence on camera or on stage. With flat, bright, and very bright tuning options across all colors, engineers can stock multiple configurations for different talent and production scenarios without requiring additional outboard processing.
