The Countryman E6 Earset is the standard-bearer for head-worn microphone performance in professional live production, broadcast, theater, and houses of worship. The ultra-miniature electret condenser element sits precisely at the corner of the mouth, held by a stainless steel boom that tolerates repeated reshaping to fit different performers night after night. The detachable connector system means a faulty cable or a transmitter change never sidelines a mic capsule. Resistance to sweat, makeup, and moisture, combined with aramid-reinforced cable construction and braided RF shielding, gives this earset the durability to survive daily theatrical runs and touring production cycles without deterioration in audio quality.
The E6 family covers a wide range of production scenarios through its choice of pickup patterns, sensitivity grades, connector types, and body colors. Available patterns include omnidirectional for natural, feedback-tolerant capture in controlled environments and directional for maximum gain before feedback on louder stages. Three sensitivity grades span general speech reinforcement through extremely high-SPL vocal applications. Hirose 4-pin standard and screw-down cH-style connectors are offered in 1mm and 2mm Duramax aramid-reinforced cable diameters to match the bodypack transmitter and durability requirements of any production. Four color options allow close matching to a variety of skin tones, keeping the microphone as unobtrusive as possible for camera-forward performances. At 0.07 oz, the E6 imposes no perceptible weight on the performer, reducing fatigue through long shows and multi-set runs.
