DAS Audio Mia-X 2-Way Passive Coaxial Surface Mount Speaker | 12" | 70° x 50° | Black

The DAS Audio Mia-X series is built for systems integrators and AV installers who need a scalable, low-impedance surface mount speaker solution across a range of venue sizes and coverage requirements. The coaxial point source architecture ensures that high-frequency and low-frequency output share a single acoustic origin, which is critical in fixed-installation environments where image coherence, time alignment, and even coverage across seating areas cannot be compromised. The family spans woofer sizes from 5" to 12", with coverage patterns ranging from wide conical dispersion to tighter asymmetrical patterns suited to delay rings, balconies, and directional throw applications.

These speakers are passive, low-impedance designs intended for direct connection to amplifier channels in standard installed sound systems. Without an internal transformer, they are well matched to amplifiers running 4 or 8 ohm loads, keeping the signal path simple and the installation flexible. The surface mount form factor suits ceiling soffits, wall mounts, column arrays, and under-balcony positions where a compact, bracket-ready enclosure is required. Black and white finish options make the Mia-X adaptable to interior design requirements without compromising acoustic performance.

For integrators specifying across a single project with varied zone requirements, the Mia-X family allows consistent system architecture from smaller fill speakers to larger main coverage units. This tonal consistency across driver sizes reduces crossover complexity at the system DSP level and simplifies amplifier mapping across zones.
