The DirectOut DONETDA01 DANTE.MILAN.SRC.IO is a dual-protocol network audio interface card designed for engineers and system integrators working within the PRODIGY Series and MAVEN.A platform. By hosting two independent audio network boards on a single A Slot card, it delivers 64 channels of Dante and 64 channels of MILAN simultaneously, removing the need to dedicate separate slots or external converters to bridge two protocol ecosystems. This makes it a practical solution for broadcast facilities, large-scale installed sound systems, and touring productions where Dante-based consoles and MILAN-compliant stage infrastructure must share a unified signal path.
Each network engine operates independently, allowing the Dante and MILAN boards to run at different sample rates without compromising either stream. Onboard HD sample rate conversion handles bi-directional clock boundary crossings natively, so there is no dependency on external SRC hardware. Both engines support sample rates from 44.1 kHz up to 192 kHz, with channel counts scaling accordingly at higher sample rates. Stream redundancy is supported on both protocols via two independent RJ45 gigabit Ethernet ports per engine, giving primary and secondary failover paths that meet broadcast-grade reliability requirements.
For integrators working with PRODIGY.MP frames, the two available A Slots allow a third or fourth audio protocol to be added alongside the DONETDA01, expanding the system's protocol reach without additional network infrastructure. Dante control is accessible through Dante Controller, a browser interface, globcon, and Dante Domain Manager, while MILAN control is handled via ATDECC controllers such as Hive or a browser. AES67 mode and ST-2110-30 support via Dante Domain Manager extend compatibility with broadcast standards, making this card a long-term investment for facilities managing mixed protocol environments.
