Wireless performance comes from the Aria X2 radio module, which covers Bluetooth (2402-2480 MHz), the 863-870 MHz EU sub-gigahertz band, and the 902-928 MHz US band. CSMA-based interference mitigation keeps signals stable in congested RF environments, and over-the-air firmware updates reduce downtime during touring or multi-venue deployments. Configuration is handled through the Aria X2 mobile app over Bluetooth 5.2 or directly from the built-in front panel with a digital screen, so technicians can set up or troubleshoot without a laptop on site.
Protocol support is notably broad. Beyond the Aria X2 Mesh and Serial protocols, the AX2178 is compatible with ADJ WiFLY, Elation eFly, Magmatic MagFly, and Acclaim Aria, making it a practical choice for integrators managing mixed-brand inventories or taking over existing wireless DMX infrastructure. Power draw of 2.2 watts from a universal 100-277V AC input keeps it practical for international touring and installation work alike.
