The Elation NRE136 EP1D is a compact DIN rail-mounted network node engineered for lighting integrators and production electricians who need a reliable, low-profile gateway between Ethernet control networks and DMX universes. Mounted directly to standard DIN rail inside an enclosure or rack infrastructure, it fits cleanly into permanent installs ranging from theater control rooms and broadcast facilities to houses of worship and corporate AV systems where clean cable management is essential.
The EP1D accepts sACN and Art-Net traffic from any compliant lighting console or media server and outputs a single optically isolated DMX/RDM port, protecting downstream fixtures and dimmers from ground loops and electrical noise. Power is sourced via PoE 802.3af from the existing network switch, eliminating the need for a dedicated power supply in most installs. A USB-C connection provides a convenient temporary power option during commissioning or in locations where PoE is unavailable. A DC 9-48V terminal block input covers installations with dedicated power infrastructure.
Configuration is handled entirely through the built-in web remote accessible from any browser on the same network, or via the NETRON CLU software tool, making it practical to deploy and adjust without physical access to the unit after installation. Four onboard LED status indicators give immediate visual feedback on network and DMX activity, while the included 2-pin and 3-pin terminal blocks allow a clean, screw-terminal connection to both power and DMX lines. For integrators looking to extend lighting control coverage without adding bulky rack gear, the NRE136 delivers professional-grade node functionality in a form factor that disappears into the infrastructure.
