The Elation NRE234 is a professional-grade protocol gateway designed for permanent installation environments requiring multiple independent DMX outputs from centralized Art-Net or sACN control systems. Venue integrators and lighting designers specify this device to distribute networked lighting data across dozens of conventional DMX devices—moving lights, dimmers, LED fixtures, and effects units—without requiring standalone converters at each fixture location. The unit supports both standards simultaneously, allowing mixed-protocol networks to operate transparently.

The EN12i architecture enables flexible wiring configurations through exchangeable backplates: RJ45 ESTA connectors, screw terminals, or IDC insulation-displacement connectors. RDM bidirectionality on all twelve ports allows firmware updates and fixture diagnostics to flow back to the console, enabling true device intelligence across the entire rig.
