The Elation PRE949 Proteus Excalibur OPS is engineered for production teams and lighting designers who need maximum sky-piercing output in a fully weatherproofed package. Built around a 550W Philips MSD Platinum 500L Flex lamp and a 260mm front lens, it pushes 335,000 LUX at 15 meters through a 0.8-degree beam, placing it directly in competition with traditional Xenon searchlights and skytrackers while adding the full feature set of a modern moving fixture. IP66 certification, marine-grade CX Extreme coating, and stainless steel 316 fasteners make it a genuine outdoor permanent-install or touring-capable fixture, not a unit that merely claims weather resistance.
The fixture is built for festival stages, stadium events, architectural installations, and outdoor touring productions where beam visibility across hundreds of meters is a hard requirement. DMX and RDM protocol support, 16-bit pan, tilt, and dimming, plus a Sky Motion standalone mode allow it to operate as a searchlight animation rig without an external controller.
