The ETC CEM3 is the control electronics platform for Sensor3 power control systems, built for venues and installations that need dependable lighting management across Ethernet, DMX, and preset sources. It supports priority-based control, giving production teams and facility operators a practical way to manage dimming and relay response in theaters, studios, houses of worship, retail environments, and other architectural applications. Local access at the facepanel simplifies day-to-day setup, status review, and quick operational changes without requiring a separate workstation.

For networked systems, the CEM3 includes direct Ethernet connectivity through ETC Net3 along with standard rack feedback to live control desks. The front-panel interface combines an eight-line graphical LCD, numeric keypad, shortcut buttons, and status indicators so users can move between setup, monitoring, and live override functions efficiently. Backup options through USB or network help preserve configuration data, while replacement modules can automatically load rack configuration to reduce service time.

The platform also supports flexible dimmer behavior with selectable firing modes, output curves, control modes, and high-resolution 16-bit fades. Diagnostic reporting is available across all Sensor racks using CEM3, with expanded dimmer-specific reporting available in qualifying AF systems. Optional RideThru and Battery Pack accessories can help maintain processor operation during brief or extended power interruptions.
