Standard tall tripod stands get in the way when the source sits near the floor. The Gator Low-Profile Tripod Mic Stand is built for engineers and techs who mic bass drums, guitar and bass amps, and other low sources on touring rigs, club installs, houses of worship, and studio tracking rooms. Keeping the mic body low and close to the source gives you consistent placement from night to night without stacking cases or improvising with a full-height stand.
The tripod bases fold down for transport, so a stand can ride in an amp case or accessory bag and deploy in seconds at load-in. Rubber feet help the stand hold position on stage decks, risers, and hard studio floors, and boom-equipped configurations let you aim the capsule without repositioning the whole stand. For teams that need one dependable answer for kick, amp, and floor-level applications, it is a purpose-built alternative to adapting a full-height stand that was never meant to sit this low.
Because the stand is sized for specific low-position jobs, it also keeps tall hardware out of sightlines on video, broadcast, and church stages where clean visual lines matter, and it stays clear of drummers and guitarists working close to their gear.
