The Solidcom C1 Pro-8S addresses the communication challenges faced by production teams working in high-SPL environments where traditional intercom systems fail to separate voice from ambient noise. Its dual-microphone environmental noise cancellation architecture uses a directional primary capsule focused on the voice band and an omnidirectional reference mic to sample competing sound, processing both through a dedicated algorithm that removes up to 20dB of background interference before transmission. This ensures every spoken word reaches the listener without the sonic clutter of stage monitors, crowd noise, or machinery.
Built for touring professionals and installed venue teams, the system supports simultaneous A and B group communication channels through its hub base station, enabling directors to coordinate front-of-house and backstage crews independently without channel switching. The master headset maintains two-way communication across 1,100 feet line-of-sight using DECT 6.0 protocol, while the hub provides 2-wire and 4-wire interfaces for integration with existing comm infrastructure. Up to three hubs cascade via IP network when productions scale beyond eight users.
