PlayAUDIO2U consolidates every connection point in a computer-based live rig into a single 2U chassis built for the demands of touring. Dual USB-C ports with automatic and manual switching deliver true computer redundancy, ensuring uninterrupted playback even if one machine fails. Four XLR/TRS combo inputs with ultra-low-noise microphone preamps and switchable 48V phantom power handle vocalists, instruments, and line sources, while 24 balanced XLR outputs provide enough discrete feeds for monitors, FOH splits, and multi-zone distribution without external splitters.
MIDI infrastructure extends across four USB host ports for class-compliant controllers and modules, dual DIN-MIDI I/O, and dual Ethernet jacks supporting 22 ports of RTP-MIDI over long cable runs. Four assignable front-panel buttons and two footswitch inputs can trigger MIDI commands, switch computers, or control internal routing—all without opening software. Audio Protection monitoring guards against corrupted file playback reaching the PA, while comprehensive mixing and routing between USB devices and analog outputs happens inside the interface. Auracle software tailors routing, button assignments, and failover behavior to each production's unique workflow, then the interface operates independently from the front panel and OLED display.
