The JBL VTX B35 is built for system designers and production engineers who need predictable cardioid low-frequency behavior without the rigging overhead of multi-cabinet rear-facing arrays. Three JBL Differential Drive 2285H woofers are arranged in a front-rear configuration inside a single flyable enclosure. Two forward-facing drivers and one rear-facing driver operate on dedicated Crown I-Tech HD amplifier channels using optimized JBL presets, producing consistent cardioid directivity from a package that responds to real-world rigging constraints rather than ideal deployment conditions.
Mechanical compatibility with the VTX A12 is a core design priority. The B35 accepts A12 suspension directly below without adapter frames, and it is fully compatible with the A12 Array Frame MKII and Suspension Bar. This makes the B35 a practical choice for touring systems where mixed arrays must be built quickly, and for installed applications where available depth, rigging capacity, or sightline restrictions rule out traditional cardioid approaches. Extension to 32 Hz, an NL4 wiring scheme, and preset-driven setup reduce configuration time at both festival-scale and fixed-installation deployments.
Integration with Venue Synthesis, Array Link, and Performance Manager keeps the B35 inside the same software workflow already in use on VTX systems. For fixed installations or ground-stacked-only setups where touring flyware is not required, the B35G shares the same acoustic design and amplifier presets in a streamlined enclosure. Both models address the same problem: getting controlled bass energy to the audience and reducing bleed onto the stage and behind the system.
