The JBL VTX B35G is built for system designers and audio engineers who need predictable cardioid low-frequency performance where conventional multi-cabinet arrays are not practical. Three JBL Differential Drive 15-inch woofers in a front-rear configuration produce integrated cardioid behavior within a single enclosure. Two forward-facing drivers and one rear-facing driver operate on dedicated amplifier channels with optimized presets, eliminating the spacing calculations, additional cabinets, and rigging complexity that field-built cardioid arrays require. This makes B35G a direct answer for fixed installs, houses of worship, theaters, and arena floor deployments where sightlines, available depth, or structural load limits rule out traditional approaches.
B35G is acoustically identical to the touring-spec B35, sharing the same drivers, processing presets, NL4 wiring scheme, and performance characteristics. The difference is in the hardware. B35G replaces integrated fly rigging with 16 M10 Quick Link eyebolts suited to permanent installation environments, while full compatibility with all VTX Series Base Plates keeps ground-stack deployments clean and efficient. Mechanical compatibility with VTX A12 allows mixed flown arrays without adapter frames, and the enclosure works within the broader VTX ecosystem alongside A-Series and B-Series cabinets.
System integration extends to the full JBL software suite. Venue Synthesis handles acoustic prediction and mechanical safety checks, Array Link delivers rigging data to mobile devices on the floor, and Performance Manager provides unified control across the entire VTX rig. With extension to 32 Hz, a maximum SPL of 139 dB, and IP55 environmental protection, B35G brings focused, high-output bass control to demanding permanent and semi-permanent installations where rear energy rejection is a primary design requirement.
