The JBL MTC-300BB12 is a purpose-built acoustic enclosure for Control 300 series in-wall and surface-mount speakers. Designed for integration into commercial and institutional audio systems, this backbox eliminates cavity resonance and extends bass performance through optimized internal volume and damping materials, making it essential for cinema, houses of worship, retail, and hospitality installations where consistent bass clarity is required.
Constructed from extra-thick 16-gauge steel with 0.5-inch MDF acoustic lining, the backbox provides structural integrity and frequency control in demanding installation environments. The dual mounting baffle system accommodates multiple speaker orientations, while dedicated mounting studs for optional 70V/100V transformer modules enable transformer-in-wall integration for simplified system wiring and reduced external hardware.
UL listing and included mounting hardware ensure code-compliant, professional installation. The MTC-300BB12 is compatible with Control 321C, 321CT, 322C, 322CT, and 312CS drivers, making it a standardized solution for Control 300 series deployments across large installations.
