The JBL MTC-81TB8 tile bridge is engineered for integrators installing the 8138 speaker into drop ceiling environments. This load-bearing component transfers speaker and backcan weight directly to the building's structural support system, eliminating the deflection and sagging that occurs when ceiling tiles alone must support speaker mass.

The bridge accommodates both 610 mm and 600 mm tile grid spacing, making it suitable for most North American commercial installations. Its 19-gauge steel construction with polymer e-coating resists rust and corrosion in humid or variable environmental conditions. Four clip-nuts secure the speaker to the bridge, while four thru-holes on a standard mounting circle allow fast attachment to the MTC-81BB8 backcan.
