The K&M 101 is a workhorse music stand built for musicians, educators, and ensemble players who need dependable height adjustment without scratching their instrument's finish or the stand itself. The clamp-element locking mechanism was redesigned specifically to eliminate the wear caused by traditional thumbscrews, making this stand a practical choice for rehearsal rooms, pit orchestras, and working performers who set up and break down repeatedly.
Constructed from powder-coated steel with a brace-style leg assembly, the 101 holds its position on a variety of stage and studio floors. The traditionally foldable music desk accommodates standard sheet music and method books without modification. When the session is over, the 3-piece folding rod collapses to a compact size that fits cleanly into a bag alongside instruments and accessories, making it well-suited for touring educators and session players who travel between venues.
Where lightweight aluminum competitors trade durability for portability, the K&M 101 prioritizes finish protection and long-term corrosion resistance through its steel and powder-coat construction. This is a stand designed to be used daily across years of service, not replaced seasonally.
